STOP IRAN NOW - UNITED AGAINST A NUCLEAR IRAN
October 9, 2023
(New York, N.Y.) — United Against Nuclear Iran (UANI) Chairman Senator Joseph I. Lieberman and CEO Ambassador Mark D. Wallace released the following statement today regarding the attack by Iranian partner Hamas on Israel:
“Without Iran’s support, there would be no Hamas. Without Iran’s support, Hamas could not have attacked Israel the way it has. Without Iran’s support, Russia would not be killing as many Ukrainians as they are. Without Iran’s support, missiles and drones would not have fallen on our allies in the Arab world. Without Iran’s support, criminals would not be attempting to kill U.S. and EU/UK nationals on American and European soils.
“It is time to hold Iran accountable. While Israel must act to punish, weaken, and ultimately destroy Hamas, the critical military targets that enabled the horrific events in Israel are in Iran.
“After America was attacked on September 11, 2001, our allies and friends around the world joined us in overthrowing Al Qaeda’s Taliban sponsors in Afghanistan and rooting out its terrorists around the world. The savage Iranian-sponsored attack on Israel should now bring the civilized world together, in the same way against Iran.
“We call on our government in Washington, together with Israel, and our allies around the world to launch strikes against military and intelligence targets in Iran, including Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) sites, and missile and drone bases, where Iran’s proxy and partner network is trained.
“Our collective failure to deter Iran has made the world much more dangerous, as we see in the terrible images of murder and kidnapping of innocents, including women and children, in Israel. Over 800 Israelis, including American citizens, have been killed by Hamas. Hundreds have been taken hostage. Meanwhile, Iran continues to advance its nuclear program and represses its own people.
“If we do not stop Iran now, its threat will only grow more lethal.”
