If true these weak and very dangerous statements of capitulation must be addressed immediately.
The position of any sane Israeli government official must be that he or she will do anything and everything to ensure that the brutal, evil mass murdering theocrats who control Iran do not acquire weapons of mass destruction.
It is incomprehensible and beyond irresponsible for an Israeli Defense Minister to allow for any possibility that the Islamic Republic of Iran -- a regime openly committed to (and aggressively pursuing) the annihilation of the Jewish state - would be allowed to obtain a nuclear weapon.
Similarly, an Israeli dignitary cannot keep a promise to give up the "element of surprise" which is so critical to any military operation without compromising his obligation to defend the Israeli people, particularly in light of the existential threat posed by Iran.
The Iranian regime denies the Holocaust and is the primary progenitor of Jew hatred throughout the Middle East and around the world.
This is the regime that arms, finances and trains Hamas, Hezbollah and Islamic Jihad.
This is the regime responsible for the AMIA bombing, the Burgas bus bombing and
numerous other attacks on Jewish, Israeli and western targets around the world, including providing "direct and material assistance" to al qaeda in the 9/11 attack on the American homeland.
This is a regime that is largely responsible for the horrific maiming and murder of hundreds of thousands -- including Assad's use of chemical weapons and barbaric forms of torture.
Iran recently held a sham election while the Supreme Leader annointed as its President Ebrahim Raisi, a cleric who was instrumental in perpetrating the 1988 mass executions of tens of thousands of Iranians based on their political and religious beliefs. If this is what Raisi and Khamenei do to the Iranian people and to Muslims throughout the Middle East - do you have any doubts that they would use nuclear weapons on Israel -- an enemy they hate virulently and how vowed to destroy?
WE MUST MAINTAIN THE RESOLVE AND DETERMINATION TO PREVENT THE WORLD'S MOST DANGEROUS REGIME FROM THREATENING ISRAEL AND THE WORLD WITH THE WORLD'S MOST DANGEROUS WEAPONS.
IF Benny Gantz, Yair Lapid and Naftali Bennett do not have this determination or resolve they must resign immediately.
Every Israeli Knesset member and Minister must do a bit of soul searching - your primary obligation is the security of the people of Israel, the state of Israel and the land of Israel. This must take priority over ego, political gamesmanship or other pettinesses.
Every Israeli who cares about Torah values - and about our very survival - must take to the streets in peaceful protest -- now.
